Rowing in morning, outdoor adventures in the afternoon.
(Bring your bicycle and sack lunch!)
What will we be doing in the mornings?
Learning to row, practicing skills, playing on the water, games and activities on land to help cement skills and terminology needed in the sport, as well as increasing your coordination and athleticism.
The group will be separated into subgroups for most water activities according to skill level. Our focus is increasing proficiency and learning in a fun and safe environment.
What will we be doing in the afternoons?
Exploring outdoor adventures in the Seattle area. Exactly where we go and what we do will vary each week, depending on weather, age range, and opportunities. Examples of things we might do: bike to local pool, swim and stop for ice cream on way home; bike to Discovery Park exploring the Salmon Ladder on the way and a pick up game of Ultimate; bike to Golden Gardens for an afternoon at the beach; bike to Museum of History and Industry and Center for Wooden Boats; drive to U-pick Strawberries, Denny Creek Water Slide, Madison Swimming Beach, IMAX, Aquarium…
The Seattle area offers many options for outdoor adventure. This summer we plan to hit as many as we can!
